Alex Boyd was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He left the city to attend Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario (graduating with a BA in English) and again in 2000 to live in Scotland and explore his background, but now lives and works in Toronto again. He is the author of poems,
